SEWER LINE CLEANING
The Village of Barnwell will be having the Sewer Line Mains flushed as part of annual maintenance commencing October 23, 2023. You may notice some sewer smell and noise in your home’s sewer lines.
To help alleviate any back splash in your toilets, please keep your toilet seat lids down, especially in the basement. The flushing should be completed in about a week. Thanks for your cooperation.

Public Meeting
February 17, 2023
The Village will be hosting a public information meeting for those that have agreements with SMRID for summer irrigation water. This meeting will address recent changes and options moving forward. Representatives from the St. Mary’s Irrigation district will be in attendance to provide information and answer questions.
Meeting will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 7pm in the Barnwell School band room.

The Village is looking to hire an Administrative Assistant to join us in the office as soon as a suitable candidate is found.
We are also looking ahead to hire two Full Time Summer Help staff for the 2023 season.

Changes to Utility Rates January 2023

Would you rather receive your village utility bill by email instead of regular mail? Great news! Barnwell will soon be offering this paperless option.
If you would like to be enrolled in this service, please drop by the office, or send an email to [email protected] to let us know where to send your bill. This service is voluntary and, at this time, will not affect users who do not opt in.
Water Line Flushing Complete

Heavy Truck Route
October 21, 2022
At the October Regular Meeting of Council, Bylaw 04-22 Traffic Bylaw Amendment was enacted effective October 20, 2022. The Heavy Truck Route was amended to included Truck Tractor Only access to South Village Road as per the map below.
