Village of Barnwell Office Procedures

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic that is currently affecting our province, the staff and Council of the Village of Barnwell will be implementing changes to the operation of the office in order to keep both the staff and public safe from the spread of the virus. Our government officials have asked that everyone stay home and out of the public whenever possible. As our facility shares the office with Canada Post, we cannot completely shut our doors at this time but would like to limit the number of people coming into the office.
We encourage you to make all payments to TAXES AND UTILITIES online through your banking institution or through the Paysimply option, this link has been added to our website. If you need to pay by cheque, please put this through the mail slot at the office so we can limit the number of people coming into the building. PLEASE NO CASH PAYMENTS IF AT ALL POSSIBLE.
To our BULK WATER customers, you will still have access to water! To limit the users coming into the office, we are now allowing online payments through your banking institutions or through Paysimply. You will select the Barnwell Village Utility option and use your access number as your account number, this is very important to ensure the credit gets applied to the right account. If you wish to continue to pay by cheque, you can drop the cheque through the mail slot at the office and the payment will be processed and a credit added to your account. Please make sure that you have enough on your account to allow a couple days to process payments in the office.
Our staff will remain at the office as long as it is prudent to do so and are happy to assist you with any questions you have to get the online payments set up. You can call us at 403-223-4018.
Please take the advice of Alberta Health Services seriously so we can avoid this virus spreading through our community. Stay home if possible, no social gatherings, WASH YOUR HANDS! We have many people within our community that are very vulnerable to this virus and we would like to keep them safe. Thank you for your efforts in helping us do this.
