NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING VILLAGE OF BARNWELL IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA
PROPOSED BYLAW NO. 01-19
To be held at 6:00 p.m., February 21, 2019 Barnwell Council Chambers – 612 Heritage Road
PURSUANT to sections 230, 606, and 692 of the Municipal Government Act, Revised Statutes of Alberta 2000, Chapter M-26, the Council of the Village of Barnwell in the Province of Alberta hereby gives notice of its intention to consider proposed Bylaw No. 01-19 being a new land use bylaw.
THE PURPOSE of the Proposed Bylaw No. 01-19, a new Land Use Bylaw, is to update and establish standards and procedures regarding the use and development of land within the municipality; incorporating new development standards for uses within the Village; add new land use districts, Business Park and Direct Control, to the bylaw; incorporate changes to the bylaw as required by the amended Municipal Government Act; and to amend the existing Land Use District Map to reflect land use redesignation of municipal owned lands and new districts.
THEREFORE, TAKE NOTICE THAT a Public Hearing to consider the proposed Bylaw No. 01-19 will be held in the Barnwell Council Chambers, 612 Heritage Road at 6:00 p.m. on February 21, 2019.
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE THAT anyone wishing to make a presentation regarding the proposed Bylaws should provide written comments to the Municipal Administrator no later than 12:00 noon on February 19, 2019. Council may hear from persons who did not indicate in writing to the Municipal Administrator their intention to make a submission.
Those persons making submissions will be limited to ten (10) minutes in duration and if need be longer, as council deems necessary.
Copies of the bylaw are available to the public for viewing during regular office hours and copies will be provided at cost.
