In an effort to keep our water & sewer services on a user pay basis, and due to increased operating costs, Council has approved an increase in Water & Sewer service rates, effective May 1, 2019. (The last rate increase for Water & Sewer services was February, 2015)
New rates to be charged on a monthly basis for users of the Village of Barnwell Water & Sewer System whose residence is within the corporate limits of the Village of Barnwell will be as follows:
* Fixed charge of $36.00 per month for Water Services (from $34.00)
* Monthly consumption charge of $.90 per cubic meter of water (from $.77)
* Fixed charge of $20.00 per month for Sewer Services (from $16.50)
New rates to be charged on a monthly basis for users of the Village of Barnwell Water & Sewer system whose residence is within the corporate limits of the Municipal District of Taber:
* Fixed charge of $56.00 per month for Water Services (from $54.00)
* Fixed charge of $25 per month for Sewer Services (from $20.60)
*Monthly consumption charge of $1.25 per cubic meter of water (from $1.10)
Bulk Water purchase rates at the Truck Fill Station at the Water treatment Plant will be increased to $3.05 per cubic meter (from $2.90)
