An update to our current Fire Ban:
Due to the warm and dry conditions in the area, and the long-term forecast for continued warm weather.
As of 12:00 pm on Sept. 12, 2017 a Fire Ban has been imposed in the MD of Taber, the Town of Vauxhall and the Village of Barnwell and will remain in place until conditions change which reduce the Extreme Fire Hazard.
The Fire Ban includes all open fires within the Municipality including all burn barrels and recreational fire pits
The ban excludes those fires which are contained in cooking or heating appliances fueled by fluids or gasses (BBQ’S).
All active Fire Permits are suspended.
No new Fire Permits will be issued until further notice.
The Fire Ban is effective 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 12, 2017 and will remain in place until conditions change which reduce the Extreme Fire Hazard.
