Barnwell Pioneer Days

This fun filled week-end is quickly approaching! Download the Pioneer Day Parade and Dualthalon routes and the full Pioneer schedule of events for your reference.  Please specifically note the times and places of each event.  If you don’t care to participate in an event, be sure to come out and be a spectator and cheer for those that do.

Note the addition of these new events for Saturday, July 21:

• The Duathlon – Get your bikes and your running shoes ready for a short bike race and run.  Register at 12:00 noon at the LDS Church parking lot.  You may enter as a team or individually.
• Face Painting – This new event will have a special appeal to children and will take place in the park after the parade.
• The Chili Taste-Off –  If you would like to participate in this event, please preregister by July 13 (forms available at Village office).  Register early as only 15 applications will be accepted.  Bring your crock pot full of hot & homemade chili (15 serving size minimum) to the park by 4:50 pm where it will be tasted and judged by our professionals!!  It will then be served as your contribution to the supper meal.

Please take note that the Complimentary Breakfast meal time has changed.  It will be served from 8:00 am to 9:30 am.  Don’t sleep in and miss this delicious meal. Be sure to also join us for the supper meal at 5:30 pm.  Please do not forget your food assignment for this meal which is listed on the attached schedule.  Food assignments are intended for all those attending.  Above all, you don’t want to miss the grand finale of the day with an awesome display of fireworks which will commence around 10 – 10:30 pm (at dark) at the park.
