Community Member Survey

If you are a resident of one of the 16 municipalities in the Barons-Eureka-Warner region and 18 years of age or older, you are invited to participate in a research study

Research Study Title: Prevention priorities and municipal action in southern Alberta Principal Investigator: Lars Hallström

In the survey, we ask about community assets, satisfaction with local services,and if there are any service gaps in need of attention.

The purpose of this project is to support the 16municipalities in the Barons-Eureka-Warner Family andCommunity Support Services (BEW-FCSS) region to make informed decisions about how they invest in their communities and address challenges related to:

  • homelessness and housing insecurity
  • mental health and addictions
  • employment
  • family and sexual violence across the lifespan;
  • aging well in the community

Until March 2026, researchers from the PrenticeInstitute are conducting a community needs assessment study in the BEW-FCSS region.

Starting in the summer of 2025, we are reaching out to community members (18 years and older) to ask for their perspectives. At the end of the project, we will put together a report that will be shared with each of the local councils in the region and the FCSS team.

This is a project for the people who live in the BEWregion (Barnwell, Barons, Coaldale, Coalhurst, County ofWarner, Coutts, Lethbridge County, Milk River, M.D. ofTaber, Nobleford, Picture Butte, Raymond, Stirling, Taber,
Vauxhall, and Warner).
