I’m a native Albertan, born in Grande Prairie. From 1955 to 1958 I learned to “lean into the wind” when our family moved to Cowley, where my Dad was station manager at the airport. After years of city living, and a career with ACSA (Alberta Construction Safety Association), I moved to Barnwell to be with Cathy. I like the peace I feel here, even the trains have a prairie sound. I especially listen for meadowlarks in the spring. The depth and width of family roots I’m surrounded by, living here, is something I admire. I look forward to working with, and learning from, the other Council members and staff.
