Return to 2021 Barnwell Election Candidate Profiles

I’m a native Albertan, born in Grande Prairie. From 1955 to 1958 I learned to “lean into the wind” when our family moved to Cowley, where my Dad was station manager at the airport. After years of city living, and a career with ACSA (Alberta Construction Safety Association), I moved back to Southern Alberta.  I like the peace I feel here, even the trains have a prairie sound. I especially listen for meadowlarks in the spring. The depth and width of family roots I’m surrounded by, living here, is something I admire.

I served four years as councillor in the previous term which saw improvements and renaming of the facilities at Willow Park, construction of the Pickleball Courts, Christmas lights at Heritage Park, live flower baskets throughout summer, a very successful Barnwell Days celebration this year, to name a few of the initiatives.

I look forward to working with, and learning from, members, staff, and citizens of Barnwell. And to another four year term on Village Council.
