On Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 8:00 AM to approx. 4:00 PM, the Village of Barnwell will be holding a Barn Raising as we raise the roof on the new Pole Barn at Willow Park, in preparation for Barnwell Days. We need your help. We need volunteers that are strong and are comfortable with building and working on a roof. We need volunteers who can cut wood or be a runner and carry the supplies. All you need to bring is some basic hand tools (if you have them) and your work clothes. Lunch and beverages will be provided for all workers.
The dual-purpose Pole Barn is being constructed to be used for large gatherings and will also feature three Pickle Ball Courts, a sport with rising popularity that combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping pong. It is nestled in the center of Willow Park with ample shelter from the elements, so will be an ideal place for events and to enjoy the fast growing, easy to learn sport of Pickle Ball which is fun for all ages.
